Memorandum of Understanding Signing Ceremony

On Monday, May 14, 2007 Governor Bob Riley, ThyssenKrupp executives and federal, state and local dignitaries met in Mobile, Alabama to sign the Memorandum of Understanding between the State of Alabama and ThyssenKrupp. This ceremony finalized the agreement made between Thyssenkrupp Steel and Stainless Steel USA and the State of Alabama for ThyssenKrupp's new $3.7 billion state-of-the-art carbon and stainless steel processing facility. The signed Memorandum of Understanding signifies the beginning of the new partnership between Alabama and ThyssenKrupp.
